Teaching Experience:
ACCT 5310-Systems and Analytics
In teaching Accounting Systems and Analytics, I focused on developing students’ understanding of accounting information systems and transaction processing. I emphasized system documentation techniques, such as flowcharting and the use of Visio. Students were introduced to database-oriented enterprise systems and learned how business processes generate and rely on information flows. I also covered the risks and internal controls associated with these processes to prepare students to evaluate system reliability. Finally, I incorporated data analytics and visualization tools—such as Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx—to equip students with practical, in-demand competencies.
